A sunny few days in the Cotswolds where we stayed in a converted barn on the outskirts of Upper Slaughter overlooking the rear garden of the Lords of the Manor hotel. If you are looking for a good place to be based in the Cotswolds – this is pretty central to most of the places we like to go and utterly charming in its own right.
Above and below is the ford and the church at Upper Slaughter.
A walk along the river to Lower Slaughter and an early morning breakfast at the Old Mill cafe where we also found a lovely sheepskin rug to carry home.
The old stone bridge in Lower Slaughter
Rach and I had a little time for ourselves with lunch at No. 131 in nearby Cheltenham which had young fresh vibe to go with our tasty and fresh dishes.
